Print

A rare video interview with the Duke of Windsor, as he is paying tribute to Sir Winston Churchill, who was celebrating his 90th birthday in 1964.

Edward VIII abdicated the British throne on 11 December 1936 in order to marry the twice-devorced Wallis Simpson. He then became the Duke of Windsor and his brother the Duke of York (father of Elizabeth II) became George VI.

'ITN Reports' was a series of documentary reports from around the world, produced by ITN News and broadcast on ITV from November 1964 - December 1965.
