This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Victory in Europe (VE Day) in 1945. To commemorate this important anniversary there are three days of events planned.
There will be a Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph and a two minute silence at 15:00. In the evening over 100 beacons will be lit across the country.
At 11:00 the Bells in the Cathedrals up and down the country will ring
In the evening there will be a concert on Horse Guards parade which will be broadcast on the BBC
In Woodstock, The Royal British legion plan to hold a commemorative Church Service on 10th May at 11:00 and afterwards a wreath laying ceremony at 12:00
At the Palace the VE Day commemorations will be marked by observing the three minutes silence
There will be tours for visitors during the day on Winston Churchill and Blenheim Palace during the Second World War
