The Churchill Centre is a partner of the Churchill 2015 initiative, along with Blenheim Palace, The English Speaking Union, The Houses of Parliament (Westminster), Harrow School, Chartwell, The Churchill Archive Centre, The Churchill War Rooms, and the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust among others.
Churchill 2015 is a year long programme to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Sir Winston’s death in 1965 and commemorate his life and legacy.
Churchill 2015 events will be held all across the globe, with the first event on the programme calendar hosted by the Churchill Centre Australia (CCA).
The newly formed Churchill Centre Australia will be hosting this inaugural event at 3.30pm on Saturday 17th January 2015 at the Royal Automobile Club, Macquarie Street, Sydney.
Dr Anne Henderson, Director of The Sydney Institute, will be the guest speaker and will be delivering a lecture on:
“Menzies, Churchill and the Empire at War”
Funds raised will allow the Churchill Centre Australia to make a donation to support the ANZAC Poppy Appeal 2015.
