On the day the first official history of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) is published, its author Keith Jeffery discusses the thrills and challenges of writing such a book. His lecture explores themes such as the Service’s relationship with the British government and Armed Forces, its successes and failures in both world wars and Churchill’s role in its history.
Keith Jeffery is Professor of British History at Queen’s University Belfast.
