 Detailed Conference Schedule Now Published

Time is running out to register for the 34th International Churchill Conference, which will take place at the J. W. Marriott Essex House in New York City on October 10, 11, and 12. Follow this link to register today.

The conference will begin on Tuesday, October 10 with a tour for those arriving early of historic Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn. This is the burial site of Winston Churchill’s maternal grandparents and numerous other luminaries. In the afternoon, a special talk about the Dunkirk evacuation will be delivered at Chartwell Booksellers. The opening reception will take place in the evening at the Essex House with welcoming remarks by Randolph Churchill followed by a special screening at the New York Institute of Technology of the forthcoming film Darkest Hour starring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill.

The second day of the conference features a full day of speakers including talks by members of the House of Lords as well as members of the Churchill family. Lady Williams, one of Churchill’s last surviving secretaries and the mother of the present Archbishop of Canterbury, will share her memories with Churchill granddaughter Celia Sandys. The afternoon will include a book signing session with books by those speaking available for sale from Chartwell Booksellers. In the evening Lord Dobbs, creator of the immensely popular House of Cards series, will deliver the Keynote Speech at our annual black-tie gala.

The conference will conclude on the morning of Thursday, October 12 with three final talks including one by best-selling author Andrew Roberts.
